The project is aimed at acquiring the knowledge needed to develop a new special polymeric material, which will be suitable for the production of molds designed for pressure casting of ceramics. The aim is to develop the mass and possibly the manufacturing process so that its physical and mechanical properties can be effectively controlled. The main emphasis is on porosity management in order to satisfy the different requirements of different customers on the market, especially for the use of ceramic tassels with high fine particles.
The goal is to achieve a minimum of 15,000 cycles / products (using ceramic masses with a high fine particle content) and significantly lower mold prices than existing industrial solutions.
The main outputs of the project will be:
- Usable pattern for polymer composition
- Functional samples of molds made of special polymeric material with controlled physical and mechanical properties
- Verified production technology for molds of special polymeric material with controlled physical and mechanical properties
